She made her debut on the violin at the age of six. Jean Grimaldi discovered her and hired her as an accompanying musician for tours with his theater troupe. Subsequently, she played with Ensemble Folklorique Rigodon and regularly participated in the television show "Soirée canadienne".
She began recording LPs in the early 1970s and toured with Fernand Thibault, who had a great influence on her career.
