Born on December 1st, 1950, the son of Lucien Hétu, Daniel Hétu was the keyboard player and singer for the house band at CFTM-TV channel 10 in Montreal during the '70's and '80's, which also had Yves Lagacé as drummer and he also was the conductor for many singers from the province of Quebec. In 1979, he sold 100 000 copies of his hit "Je t'attendais" while conducting the house band for the show "Les Tannants". While at "Les Tannants", his nickname was "Sexy King Kong". He died in 2008 from an hemoraghe which was a consequence of a cirhosis he had four years before.
