Gaston Miron

Canadian French-language poet. Born in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Québec, in 1928 and died in Montreal in 1996.

He is considered one of the most important Québécois poets and his main collection, L'homme rapaillé (1970), is probably the single most important volume of poetry from Quebec. Many of his poems have since been set to music.
