The Toronto Jazz Scene

A city of clubs, sessions, and serious chops—Toronto has long been the beating heart of Canadian jazz. This collection pays tribute to the players, composers, and innovators who shaped its sound: from smoky post-war lounges to modern downtown lofts, from straight-ahead swingers to boundary-pushing experimentalists. Featuring legends, sidemen, and new voices alike, The Toronto Jazz Scene captures the energy, elegance, and evolution of one of North America’s most vital jazz communities.
