By: Big Miller
Origin: Sioux City, Iowa, 🇺🇸 - Edmonton, Alberta, 🇨🇦
Big Miller’s name and face are known throughout the world for his many recordings, TV appearances, films and concert appearances (including the Monterey Jazz Festival and Carnegie Hall). He sings the blues in a way that makes inner recognition immediate.
Church bred, night club nourished, big, strong — yet gentle and song soaked — this singer has been immersed in blues since childhood. Besides being a vocalist, writer, actor and trombone player, he plays drums, bass fiddle, baritone and guitar. Formerly with the Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Woody Herman, Nat Pierce, Miles Davis and Cannonball Adderley bands, he sings with confidence, poise and enormous conviction.
For two moving tracks composed for him by Tom Van Stockum and Ed Kelly, plus Nat Pierce’s arrangement of “Thinking of You”.
Produced in Edmonton by Richard Craig
Recording Engineers: A. Landreth / D. Ure
