The Brunswick Playboys were formed in 1960 in Moncton, New Brunswick. They signed with Arc Records in 1965 and had 3 releases on that label. They spent a lot of time touring through the Maritimes and also were quite well received in Quebec. In Nova Scotia, they made a number of appearances on Frank's Bandstand. They also had a track on the Frank's Bandstand "Do You Wanna Dance" lp comp in 1965 on Arc. They were led by Roger Cormier on bass (from Kent County). George Hebert (Chet Atkins of the Hustlin-Hub) on organ and harmonica; Gerry Holley on vocals; and Bob Bourgeois on the sticks. While appearing on "Pop Performance" on CKCW-TV, Moncton, Alex Sherman from Ottawa, saw and heard the group and decided the time was EXCELLENT for recording. In 1966, they signed with Excellent Records where they recorded a single and this lp on Excellent Records. The album was produced by Alex Sheran and the liner notes were by Ron Bourgeois.
