The fall of 1989 sees the debut of Looking For Marck, a new Montreal duo ready to unsettle the Canadian music scene with their first album, Dangerous Visions. Composed of singer Mark Vinet and his partner, guitarist Marc Côté, Looking For Marck is the latest addition to the Alert Music label.

Looking For Marck were originally brought to the forefront of the Montreal music scene when they entered the Pop Express talent contest, one of the largest music contests in the country. Judges from various facets of the music industry chose the band out of five finalists, awarding them a $50,000 prize. Their resulting demo tape reached talent manager and record executive Marc Durand (manager/producer of Men Without Hats and co-manager of The Box and Bundock) who signed the duo. Dangerous Visions is the outcome of this new union.

Dangerous Visions was recorded at Multisons Studio with producer Daniel Vermette. Its ten original tracks highlight the group's diverse musical talents - Mark Vinet played acoustic guitar and piano and Marc Côté handled electric guitar, keyboards and programming. Special guest musicians were also included to augment the group's distinctive sound. Guitarists Jean Millaire and Jimmy James added a raw edge to such songs as Hurricane, I Want You To Be Mine and Dangerous Visions. Vocal powerhouse Sass Jordan contributed backing vocals on Get Up, Pacer and the lead single, Overnight. And the album was mixed by veteran Paul Northfield (Kim Mitchell, Rush, Bryan Adams, etc.) at Le Studio in Morin Heights.

Marc Côté: electric guitar, drum programming, keyboards
