Released in August 1971, this was the second single pulled from the You're My People LP, following the earlier release of “Try” / “How Many Times” in May. Both songs were co-written by Bob Quinn and Tim Garagan and reflect the band’s polished, emotionally rich sound. Like the rest of the album sessions, this single features full studio production and horn and string arrangements by Keith Jollimore, under the direction of producer Jack Richardson.
