Rick Morgenstern was already a veteran of the Canadian entertainment scene when he made his debut on Heart Records. Written by Ron Mahonin, That Lady Of Mine placed well on Canadian country airplay. Producer Curtis Young in Nashville gave this song a fresh but quality sound; this in turn gave Rick a boost in airplay, which assisted too in Heart's credibility as a worthy label in the country genre.
By this time, the label's distributor (Quality Records) opened up their distribution arm under the name of Metrodisc. Then (as now), having a national distribution deal increased the chances of airplay, and increased the potential for other independent artists wanting to release their own material.
