Celestially tinged rock act Monogrenade gave fans a look towards the future last December when they shared a cryptic trailer for their upcoming LP, Composite, followed by details on its impending release date.
Exploding like an audio supernova, the Francophone indie pop ensemble's newest disc utilizes vintage synthesizers that coast through planetary atmospheres (album opener "Portal") before crashing down in a dense haze of galactic grooves ("Cercles et pentagones") and faux-futuristic funk (electro-pop tune "Métropolis," which is inspired by the German sci-fi film of the same name).
You can also catch the band as they play a select number of dates around Quebec, including a hometown gig at La Tulipe on February 5.
